Two technicians, forty years of combined experience, and a straightforward belief: a car is a problem to be understood, not an opportunity to sell parts.
Unorthodox Automotive is an independent workshop in Carlisle, Perth. We specialise in European and JDM vehicles, and we've invested in the manufacturer-specific tooling and genuine diagnostic software those cars actually require. We follow factory workshop manuals, we show customers the evidence behind every recommendation, and we don't start work until the price has been agreed.

What we'll tell you upfront
We're a two-technician workshop, so we can only take a limited number of cars each day. Booking ahead genuinely matters.
We're not the cheapest in Perth. We put real time and care into every job, and for the depth we go to we think we're good value — but you should hear that from us, not discover it later.
Occasionally a job needs a specialist, like internal ECU resoldering. We'll always ask you before your car goes anywhere else.

Diagnosis
Dealer-level scanning across every module, plus hands-on testing. Fixed hourly rate — most faults are found within the hour.
Evidence
We show you what we found. Photos, live data, the component itself. You decide with the facts in front of you.
Repair
Genuine manufacturer procedures, and your choice of genuine, OEM or trusted aftermarket parts.
Warranty
Parts and workmanship are covered. We're happy to check the car again a month later.
